Chasing Her Dream

About Little Miss Chasing Her Dream

It takes soul
It takes heart
It takes a dream
it takes to recognize what the dream truly is.

They say “it’s only a dream, don’t go for that, keep your feet on the ground”.
Oh that is a mistake, that it wRrrrong with the Rolling Rrr. Let me say what I think “that is RawRing wrRong! Chasing it, that is what we really should do. To pursue the dream.

Oh little Miss, what are You saying Little Miss?” the gentlemen could say, the friends might ask.
A dream, little Miss? With the due respect you do not know what you are saying, little Miss”

Pffft, no, no, no. They don’t know. A dream, “THE dream”, is something that needs spotted, it needs being found, it needs being understood, felt. The “true dream” is not the casual visiting dream. The true dream is the one for which you would give up any other dream. The true dream is the one answering to those questions like
How much would you be able to risk?
What would you give up to attain it?
How much of it is in you? Has always in you,?
How much do you feel it will complete you?

So, then, if the dream is THAT dream, does it still make sense to ask if it is something that we should pursue? Isn’t it the other way round? Isn’t it rather nonsense to pretend we will not follow it (knowing a part of us will ALWAYS and FOREVER seek for it).

Not to pursue that would be the nonsense. Because it would mean we would anyway run after it, in a chase that will be with no joy and no awareness, and destined to fail. It would be a chase without riding the joy horse. Without having the wind blowing on us. The problem is not if we should go for our dreams or not, the problem is to know what they are, how worthy of our efforts they are. Chasing THAT dream is never a lost battle, because already riding its waves means holding the bridles of realization

A Lamp, A Pillar, An Evening

The evening is mild, yet cold
a man, under the street light,
whistles at the sound of a tune
it is an old song,
a tune that seems to come
from a distant time.

We do not even know why, but we stop,
our every thought slowly fades,
the ones we thought we couldn’t delay
the ones that seemed so important.

We stop,
we do pretend we are waiting for someone,
we smile at ourselves, so silly, but we stop.
Not a word, we do smile, stare, and listen.
We stand there and we watch the man:
a silhouette, his whistling,
it flies us in a distant world.

Breathing, inhaling, we feel small
there is a tear wanting to wet our eyes.
We do feel small, very small
small like those tears, reflecting the city lights.
We do feel that small
and it makes us feel like giants.

His music fades,
a girl approaches the man.
The young man stops whistling,
he stops singing, he smiles.

He takes her hand,
not a word,
but a smile and a kiss.
Like voyeurs we see them,
walking away, together.

We stay there, for a little while,
no words are needed.
We watch the pillar
the place where the man was.

We take our hands to each other’s eyes
and we caress the surfaced tears.

A smile, arise on both you and me
it draws on you like fresh brushes of life

We take each others tear on each others lips,
And we know the evening will be perfect.

Reassurance

Death, as they call it, is nothing,
I crossed the door, You can see me
I’m here in this adjacent room
I know You feel me,
I do feel You.

I am still me, you are still you.
what we were, for one another, we still are.
Call me the name you always gave me,
the one familiar to you;
speak to me in the same affectionate way
the one you always used.

Do not change the tone,
do not assume a solemn or sad face.
Keep laughing about what made us laugh,
about those little things we so liked.
Let our laughters chirp, spreading joy, as they always did.

Pray, smile, think about me but in the same familiar way.
Pronounce my name without any trace of sadness.
Our life preserves the same meaning it always had;
it is the same as before.
There is a continuity which does not break.

Why should I be out of your thoughts and your mind,
only because I am out of your sight?

I am not far,
I am on the other side,
I am behind that door.
No need to worry, to hurry.

Be reassured, it is all ok.
You will still find my heart,
you will find the same tenderness, purified.

Dry Your tears, don’t cry,
Eternity is in our hearts, we built it.
Your smile is my peace

{I saw myself in a dream. I was leaving loving words, after crossing the door, this is what remains out of it.}

Yesterday

Finally like a stranded floating vessel
against my will I reached the gates of night.

Laying exhausted on that shore my soul sought that
it craved both peace and furious bliss.

Goddess Hypnos rose, my flesh surrendered.
Possessed by dreams of Love I dreamt

I dreamt of sailing Oceans and riding waves of love,
swept by those winds that only tied us more, making me stronger

This very morning I found myself on the same shore, I took a breath inhaling morning air, and salt, and sky.
